1. Download and Install PhoneBasics

A single installation of PhoneBasics will give you following features - Call Filter, Device Manager, Lost & Find, Ring Tone Manager, Task Manager, Airless Internet, etc. After installation, you can hide the ones you don't want. If you are interested in only one or two features (e.g. Task Manager), it is recommended that you download and install the corresponding standalone (separate) applications (e.g. PB TaskManager) because they consume less phone resource.

There are two ways to install PhoneBasics on your BlackBerry phone:

Option I: Install PhoneBasics directly from your BlackBerry phone
  1. Visit http://www.ottafone.com/mpb from your BlackBerry phone
  2. Follow the online instructions
  3. After successful installation, you should see PB icon on your phone
  4. PB runs automatically after installation. Click to bring it foreground
Option II: Install PhoneBasics from your computer
  1. Click here to download PhoneBasics to your computer
  2. Extract PhoneBasics.alx and PhoneBasics.cod files from the download zip file
  3. Use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install it on your BlackBerry phone (you should have the BlackBerry Desktop Manager CD when you received your phone. If not, you can download from RIM
  4. After successful installation, you should see PB icon on your phone
  5. PB runs automatically after installation. Click to bring it foreground
 

2. Download and Install PB TaskManager (TM)

PB TaskManager is a separate BlackBerry application. There are two ways to install it on your BlackBerry phone:

Option I: Install PB TaskManager directly from your BlackBerry phone
  1. Visit http://www.ottafone.com/mtm from your BlackBerry phone
  2. Follow the online instructions
  3. After successful installation, you should see PB TaskManager icon on your phone
  4. TM runs automatically after installation. Click to bring it foreground
Option II: Install PB TaskManager from your computer
  1. Click here to download PB TaskManager to your computer
  2. Extract PBTaskManager.alx and PBTaskManager.cod files from the download zip file
  3. Use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install it on your BlackBerry phone (you should have the BlackBerry Desktop Manager CD when you received your phone. If not, you can download from RIM
  4. After successful installation, you should see PB TaskManager icon on your phone

3. Download and Install STMNavigator (SN)

STMNavigator function is also included free in PhoneBasics. If you already installed PhoneBasics 1.2.8 or above, you don't need to install STMNavigator separately. But if you prefer to run standalone SN, there are two ways to install it on your BlackBerry phone:

Option I: Install STMNavigator directly from your BlackBerry phone
  1. Visit http://www.ottafone.com/msn from your BlackBerry phone
  2. Follow the online instructions
  3. After successful installation, you should see SN icon on your phone
  4. SN runs automatically after installation. Click to bring it foreground
By default, the key navigation capability is disabled. You need to enable it in order to use. Please read the straightforward on-screen information for instructions.

Option II: Install STMNavigator from your computer

4. Download and Install PB DeviceManager (DM)

PB DeviceManager is a separate BlackBerry application. There are two ways to install it on your BlackBerry phone:

Option I: Install PB DeviceManager directly from your BlackBerry phone

  2. Follow the online instructions
  3. After successful installation, you should see PB DeviceManager icon on your phone
  4. TM runs automatically after installation. Click to bring it foreground
Option II: Install PB DeviceManager from your computer

EZ CallFilter is a separate BlackBerry application. There are two ways to install it on your BlackBerry phone:

Option I: Install EZ CallFilter directly from your BlackBerry phone

  2. Follow the online instructions
  3. After successful installation, you should see EZ CallFilter icon on your phone

  2. Follow the online instructions
  3. After successful installation, you should see Lightning Keyboard icon on your phone
  4. LK runs only when you're using it. You can manually start it (clicking the icon) to do some settings
